What do you get from two brothers that spent time in Germany? A ‘Whole Family of Great Beers’ and you can now get them at Manhattan’s American Bar and Grill. Two Brothers Brewing Company was started by Jim and Jason Ebel in 1996 after several years of talking and ‘brewing’ over the idea. Having spent time in Germany, the brothers missed the flavor oriented craft beers that they had enjoyed while in Europe. After much thought and time spent brewing their own beer at home they decided to open their own micro brewing company in Warrenville, IL.
The brothers fashioned their brewing company in the same design as is found in Vancouver with design additions by Jason, with a desire to produce the Hefeweizen style beers from Germany that they so enjoyed. They started out as a draft house in 1996, but soon moved to bottling their beers. After several expansions the latest of which was just last year and another planned for this year, the brothers are now selling their beer in the states of Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, New York and Minnesota. Manhattan’s American Bar and Grill in Carol Stream is excited to join the host of other restaurants that are serving this fine beer.
